Research Activities:

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned Rs. 5.38 lakhs to carry out research at our College, on the use of poly herbal formulation to control and eliminate liver and kidney disorders.

A release said that the UGC had sanctioned the amount to the Reader and Head, Department of Biochemistry of the college, R. Kokilavani, who will be the principal investigator; and Lecturer in Botany, K. Arumugasamy, the co-investigator.

The researchers would study the `Hepatoprotective and Nephroprotective activity of poly herbal formulation in Hepatotoxic and Nephrotoxic induced rats', the release added.
