The Alumni Association General Body Meeting was held on 29 January 2005 at 11.00 am. in the College Seminar Hall. A new Executive Committee was constituted with the following members as office bearers.

11.01.2004	Pearl Jubilee	The Management and Alumni Association of our college Honoured Dr.Akilan Ramanathan, IAS Additional private secretary to minister of state for Health Department & Family Welfare, Government of India and Dr. S. Umapathy, Scientist, Department of Organic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore with the best outstanding Alumni Award on the eve of the Pearl Jubilee celebrations held on 11.01.04.

27.02.2005		Outstanding Alumnus of our college Dr. S.Umapathy convened a two days workshop in the college campus on 26th and 27th February 2005. On that day, he was honoured for having awarded with the India’s highest award “Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award:.

26.02.04	“Seva Ratna” Award to Dr.M. Aruchami	Our revered secretary Dr.M. Aruchami was honoured with “Seva Ratna Award” for his outstanding contribution to higher education and social service. The Management and the alumni association arranged a function on 26.02.04 and felicitated the outstanding personality. Thiru.V.K.Lakshmanan President, Kongunadu Arts and Science College presided over the function. Dr.Nalla G.Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore felicitated both the awardees in the occasion. Alumni association also honoured Mr.Pa.Kuppusamy, Senior Counsel, Coimbatore for his doctoral thesis on “Inter Religious Faith and Harmony”. At last Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary of the Alumni Association gave vote of thanks.

29.01.06	MIB – Alumni Meet	The first Alumni meet of PG Department of International Business was conducted on 29.01.06 at College Campus. Mr.Surya Narayanan retired Professor, Government Arts College, Ooty participated in the function as guest of honour. Dr.T.Kulandaivelu, Principal presided over the meet. About 35 members of Alumni joined and shared their experiences in the meet.

21.01.07	MIB – Alumni Meet	The second Alumni meet of PG Department of International Business was organized on 21.01.07 in the college premises. Mr. Valarkavi Radhakrishnan addressed the Alumni on the title “Sandhipoom and Sadhipoom”. Mrs. G.Lalitha Kumari, Head of the Department of International Business presided over the function and Miss.K.Jansi, the Alumna delivered the vote of thanks.

22.09.07	Biochemistry (PG)	Biochemistry Department (PG) of our college organized an Alumni meet on 22.09.07 at college premises. More than 40 Alumni members participated and shared their experiences. Dr.M.Aruchami, Secetary and Director presided over the meet and Dr.A.A.Sivakumar Principal, Dr.S. Thangavelu, Dean SF courses gave felicitations and finally Dr.K.Thilagavathi, Dean R&D thanked the audience.

21.10.07	Biotechnology(UG & PG)	A special alumni meet was arranged by the Biotechnology department on 26.10.07 at college premises. Nearly 40 members eagerly participated and shared their experiences. Dr.M.Aruchami, Secretary & Director delivered presidential address and Dr.A.A. Sivakumar welcomed the gathering.Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF courses, felicitated and Dr.K.Thilagavathi, Dean, Research & Development thanked the members participated.

28.10.07	Chemistry (PG)	An Alumni meeting was organized by the Department of Chemistry (PG) on 28.10.07 at College premises. Dr.M.Aruchami, Director & Secretary presided over the meet. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean, SF courses welcomed the gathering and Dr.A.A.Sivakumar, Principal and Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association gave felicitations. An Alumna thanked the gathering. About 25 members of Alumni were participating in the occasion.

01.11.07	English (PG)	The young department of English (PG) conducted an Alumni meet on 01.11.07. Ms.Shobha Ramaswamy, Lecturer in English welcomed the gathering. Dr.A.A.Sivakumar, Principal and Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF courses gave felicitation. Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association also addressed the gathering. Finally, Mrs. Seetha Balakrishnan, Lecturer in English thanked the participants.

03.11.07	B.Com.	Department of Commerce arranged an Alumni meet on 03.11.07 at Conference Hall. Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, Principal presided over the function. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF courses and Dr.K.Thilagavathi, Dean R&D felicitated the August gathering. Over 30 Alumni members joined together and shared their experiences. Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni association, spoke importance of the Alumni. One of the Alumnus thanked the audience.

04.11.07	Botany (UG&PG)	Botany Department organized an Alumni meeting on 04.11.07 at college auditorium. Dr.K.Manonmani, Reader in Botany welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Aruchami, Secretary and Director presided over the function. Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, Principal and Dr.S. Thangavelu, Dean, SF courses, gave felicitation. At last Dr.V. Balasubramanian, Lecturer in Botany thanked the participants.

04.11.07	Zoology (UG&PG)	An Alumni meet was organized by the Department of Zoology on 04.11.07 at college premises. Dr.M. Aruchami, Secretary & Director presided over the function and Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, Principal welcomed the participants. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses and Mr.A.K.Rajendran, Advocate and the president of the Alumni Association gave felicitation. Dr.S.Logaswamy, the Secretary of the Alumni Association narrated the importance of the Alumni Association. Atlast, Dr.K.Kamalaveni, HOD of Zoology, thanked the participants. About 50 Alumni members gathered and shared their experiences in the occasion.

25.11.07	M.Com.	An Alumni meet was organized by PG Department of Commerce on 25.11.07 at Conference Hall. Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, Principal presided over the function and Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF courses and Dr.K.Thilagavathi, Dean R&D gave felicitations. Earlier Mrs.R.Dhanalakshmi, HOD of the department,.welcomed the gathering and Mrs.R.Sunitha, Lecturer in Commerce (PG), thanked the audience in the end.

08.12.07	B.Com. CA	Department of B.Com (CA) conducted an Alumni meet on 08.12.07 at conference hall. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses, presided over the function. Professor Dr.JeyaBharathi Msc, M.Phil, Ph.D., Reader in Botany, Parasakthi College for women, Kutralam was the chief guest and she delivered a guest lecture on “Alumni and its importance”. Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, principal and Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association felicitated the gathering.

09.12.07	Bioinformatics	Alumni association of the Bioinformatics department celebrated its Alumni meet on 09.12.07. at college premises. Dr.A.A. Sivakumar, Principal welcomed the members. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses presided over the function. Dr. K.Thilagavathi, R&D and Dr.S.Loagaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association felicitated the members present. Selvi.S. Sivashankari, HOD of Bioinformatics thanked the participants.

09.12.07	Mathematics	An Alumni meet was organized by the Department of Mathematics on 09.12.07 over 100 Alumni members participated and shared their experiences. Dr.M.R.Sitrarasu, HOD of Department welcomed the gathering. Dr.A.A.Sivakumar, Principal and Dr.S. Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association felicitated the gathering. Finally, Dr.K.Ramasamy, Reader in Mathematics, gave vote of thanks.

09.12.07	Physics	Department of Physics conducted an Alumni meet on 09.12.07 at auditorium. Dr.A.A.Sivakumar, principal welcomed the gathering. Dr.S. Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses and Dr.K.Thilagavathi, Dean R&D gave felicitations. Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary, Alumni Association delivered the importance of Alumni association. Finally, Dr.A.Subbarayan, HOD of Physics, delivered vote of thanks.

15.12.07	Chemistry (UG)	Department of chemistry organized an Alumni meet on 16.12.07 at conference hall. Over 30 Alumni members participated and shared their experiences. The Director & Secretary of the college Dr.M.Aruchami presided over the function and Dr.A.A.Sivakumar, Principal welcomed the gathering. Finally, Mr.A.M..Sivasamy, HOD of the department thanked the gatherings.

29.12.07	Biochemistry (UG)	Department of Biochemistry organized an Alumni meet on 29.12.07 at conference hall. Dr.R. Kokilavani, HOD of the department welcomed the gathering. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses, Presided over the function and Dr.S.Logaswamy, secretary of Alumni Association felicitated the alumni members. Finally Dr.S.Krishnakumari ,Reader in Biochemistry delivered vote of thanks over 40 Alumni members participated in the function.

30.12.07	BBM	Department of Business Management conducted an Alumni meet on 30.12.07 at College premises. Dr.S.Thangavelu, Dean SF Courses presided over the function. Earlier Mrs.P.Kanchana Devi, Lecturer in Business Management welcomed the gathering. Dr.S.Logaswamy, Secretary Alumni Association felicitated the Alumni members. Nearly 50 Alumni members actively participated and shared their experiences in the function.
